This is the exact location where we scattered my mom's ashes today, Carter's Lake, GA. It was a beautiful day on the lake. Here's the poem I read:
Do not stand at a grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a 1,000 winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sun on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rainWhen you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled light I am the soft star that shines at night Do not stand at a grave and cry I am not there; I did not die. Beautiful and extremely powerful. Thanks for sharing.

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. What an amazing and peaceful final resting place. That poem is one of my favorites as well. My condolences.
